CCN are delighted to be taking part in Volunteer’s Week, which is taking place this June in venues around Norfolk. We will be hosting a stall at the ‘Give it a Go’ volunteering fair at the Forum on Friday 7 June, from 10.30am – 16.30pm. If you would like to know a little bit more about what we do at the CCN or are interested in becoming one of our amazing volunteer-mentors, then do come along! There will be games and the opportunity to talk with some of our current volunteer-mentors about their own experiences working with prison leavers.
We are also excited to announce that, following on from Volunteering Week, we will be running a condensed, summer training program for new volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer-mentor, but don’t want to wait until the September course or can’t commit to eight 2-hour sessions, then this course is ideal for you. It will consist of two 8-hour sessions, running from 9.30am – 16.30pm, and split across Saturday 6 and Saturday 13 July.
