Following a combined written, telephone and Zoom application process, we are very pleased to announce a generous grant of £20,000 from the Trustees of the Lloyd’s Bank Foundation of England and Wales which will enable us to continue supporting our Clients to rebuild their lives after prison. Intended specifically to support CCN to survive the Covid-19 hiatus, the funds will mean we can continue to support our existing clients, adapt our service in response to restrictions imposed by lock-down conditions and emerge in a good position to take on new clients, train new mentors and develop our peer support drop ins.
Whilst access to the prisons remains limited and our venue at St Stephen’s Church is still closed, we are working hard to establish a lock-down exit strategy which complies with government social distancing guidelines, keeping Clients and Volunteer Mentors safe. The Lloyd’s Foundation support includes access to the Enhance program, and we are excited to work with our Regional Grant Manager Frances Warwick and make use of a year’s free membership with ACEVO, to strengthen and develop governance, policy and procedure within CCN.
