To support you with getting out the safeguarding message to volunteers Waltham Forest have made a short video  –  https://youtu.be/HHQG8CJROhU

It is 3 mins long and gives a simple message of

  • if you see something say something,
  • that as volunteers you have a safeguarding role,
  • flags that some people may volunteer for the wrong reason and
  • tells volunteers we want them to be safe too

During the video they refer to “your single point of contact”.  If you are volunteering with an organisation, this will be whoever is coordinating the work.  If you are just being a good neighbour and working outwith any organisation then you can always call Norfolk Social Services – 0344 800 8020 and express your concern, they will advise you about what to do.
