On Monday the 18th of June, at 7.00pm there will be a meeting hosted by Community Chaplaincy – Norfolk.

The speaker will be Mary Scales MBE

Mary works for the Department for Work and Pensions and is the Relationship Manager and has responsibility for the Prison Delivery service.

She will be talking about The Universal Credit which will be rolling out in Norwich very soon.  In particular the Department for Work and Pensions are piloting a program in Norwich Prison to start dealing with prisoner’s applications prior to their release to facilitate any benefit claims.

This is an open meeting, and anyone is welcome who is interested in gaining a better understanding of the process for applying Universal Credit.

The meeting will be at Sprowston Methodist Church, Cozens Hardy Road, Sprowston, NR7 8AD.  Car parking is available.
